Dear Shri Prabhu,
Even though, Mangalore can claim to be relatively better off compared to
other districts in the State, in terms of income and quality of life of
its citizens, one issue which is of concern is the fact that certain
persons with physical disability are not able to lead a life of dignity
as they do not have sufficient opportunities for employment.
One aspect which gives dignity to a human being is when he or she is
able to earn sufficiently to support himself/herself and his/her family
in daily life. In this regard, I would request the Chamber to
co-ordinate with all business houses and industries, so that we could
provide them opportunities for employment.
I do expect your co-operation in this regard at the earliest.
With regards,
Yours sincerely,
Sd/- (M. Maheshwar Rao)
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate.
