On occasion of 62nd National Maritime Day Celebration and the 75th Anniversary of Director General of Shipping, Mumbai, KCCI Director and Chairman of EXIM Sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeria being part of the committee together with the Dy. Conservator of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Capt. Manoj Joshi and MMD Surveyor in charge Mangaluru, Shri Bodh Raj  met the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah at his residence in Bengaluru on 2nd April  and the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot  at Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru on 3rd April, for the National Maritime Day Flag pinning on their wearing apparel.
4.00 p. m. Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Sub-committee Chairman of District Coordination, Shri Devi Prasad Shetty along with Industry Sub-committee Chairman, Shri N. Satish met KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai at his Bharath Beedi Works Pvt. Ltd. office in Mangaluru and invited him for the MSME Conclave 2025 organized by FKCCI, Kassia and Peenya Industries Association on May 30th – 31st & Jun 1, 2025. They also requested that all members of KCCI attend the event. KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A was also present in the meeting.
04-04-2025 3.30 p. m. JSW team hosted the Board of Directors of KCCI at their office in New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Mangaluru. Shri L. Ramanathan Unit Head and Vice President, JSW delivered the welcome address and briefed about the port activities. Shri Nownith Kumar – Consultant briefed about development of NH 75 roads and also about the ports activities. Shri Dilip Shetty, General Manager – Business Development addressed the members about JSW progress in revenue generation and the future plans. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai appreciated the efforts of JSW in monitoring the developments of NH 75 and also coordinating with the NH Project Directors in ensuring timely completion of the road repairs. KCCI delegates were taken through the port and briefed about container terminal and ships movements from the port.  Other team members of JSW were also present on the occasion.
06-04-2025 11.00 a. m. Bliss Tuff, toughened glass manufacturers had grand opening of their shop in Mangaluru. The event was inaugurated by lightening the lamp by KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, Managing Director of Bharath Auto Cars, Shri Sudhir M. Pai, Civil Engineer of Alva Associates, Shri K.N. Alva. The host, Shri and Smt. Dheeraj Shetty and Dhanush Shetty welcomed the guests.
07-04-2025 09.30 a. m. Maroor Enterprises, authorised distributors for Exide Industries Limited opened their new outlet at Pumpwell, Mangaluru. The outlet was inaugurated by KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai. Representatives of the Maroor Group, including Shri Rammohan Pai Maroor (Past President, KCCI), Shri Ajith Pai Maroor, Ms. Rahasya Pai Maroor (Chairperson of Women Entrepreneurs sub-committee of KCCI), Shri Anirudh Pai Maroor and Shri Sagar Rai, Operations Manager, Maroor Enterprises, were present at the function.
3.30 p. m. Renewal of MoU signing ceremony between P.A. First Grade College, Mangaluru and KCCI was held at the Conference room of KCCI. This was with effect from 9th January, 2025. The MoU was signed by KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai and the Principal of P.A. First Grade College, Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim. Present on the occasion were KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor, Chief Operating Officer of KCCI, Shri  Mytreya A, Head -Department of Commerce & Management, PAFGC, Ms. Deepti Udyavar and IQAC Coordinator, PAFGC, Ms. Vanishree Y.
09-04-2025 7.00 p. m. The First Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Seventh Meeting of the new Committee was convened at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru. Shri Anand G Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
11-04-2025 10.00 a. m New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) organized a workshop on marine adversities at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Mangaluru.  Shri AV Ramana, Chairman, NMPA, presided over the event. The workshop was inaugurated by Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada District. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the event.
21-04-2025 11.00 a. m. A meeting was held to discuss the Regional Disparities in Development in Karnataka State at Netravati Hall, Zilla Panchayat office, Mangaluru. Shri M.H. Suryanarayana, a member of the High Power Committee for Regional Imbalance Remediation, held a long discussion with the concerned departmental officials and representatives of various organisations on regional imbalance. Shri Mullai Muhilan MP IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Anand K. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and other dignitaries also addressed the audience. Members of various associations attended this meeting. KCCI was represented by Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.
5.00 p. m. The Governing Body meeting of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Opportunities & Learning (CEOL) for the year 2024-25 was held at the Conference Hall of CEOL. The meeting was Chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, DK District, Mangaluru (Chairman – CEOL), Shri Mullai Muhilan M.P. KCCI representative member, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and other special invitees for the meeting, Hon. Secretary, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Directors, Shri Ashit Hegde and Shri Ajay Prabhu and Chairman of KCCI Alternative Dispute Centre, Prof. CA. Lional Aranha.
28-04-2025 3.00 p. m. The Avatar Hotel and Aerodynamiks Academy, Mangaluru launched ‘Art of Hospitality’, an exclusive course crafted to upskill and shape the future of hospitality professionals at The Avatar Hotel & Convention, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Mullai Muhilan MP, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, D.K Dist., Mangaluru. The Guests of Honour for the event were, Shri Vishal Hegde, Pro-Chancellor, NITTE University, Shri Anand G Pai, President-KCCI and Shri Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva’s Education Trust.
29-04-2025 3.00 p. m. QCI Gunvatta Yatra – An Awareness Program on Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) & LEAN Certifications and its Benefits was jointly organized by KCCI and Quality Council of India (QCI) at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai presented the welcome address. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar introduced the speakers to the audience. The distinguished speakers for the event were, Ms. Jyothi Krishna, Empanelled ZED Expert – QCI who spoke on ZED and LEAN certifications and Shri Venugopal, Advisor, NBQP – QCI addressed the members on QCI Gunvatta Yatra & QCI Activities. Members from various industries actively participated in the event. The vote of thanks was rendered by Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor. Also present on stage, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba.
4.30 p. m. The 83rd MSEZL Board meeting was held in New Delhi in hybrid mode. The meeting was chaired by Shri Vivek C. Tongaonkar, Chairman, MSEZL and Director (Finance) ONGC. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai attended the meeting virtually.
05-05-2025 3.00 p. m. The Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KCCI and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi District at the Board Room of the college. The MoU was exchanged between KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and SMVITM Principal, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer – KCCI, Shri Mytreya A were also present on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions (SVMET), Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Placement & Administrative Officer – MBA, SMVITM, Ms. Vidya Bhat and Heads of various departments from the college were present at the event. The renewed MoU aims to further strengthen the collaborative efforts between industry and academia. The partnership focuses on facilitating industrial visits, internship opportunities, expert guest lectures, and enhanced placement support for the students of SMVITM. This renewed engagement reflects a shared commitment to equipping students with practical industry exposure and bridging the gap between academic learning and professional expectations.
06-05-2025 4.30 p. m. The First Meeting of the KCCI Conclave – 2025, Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2024-25 was convened at the Conference Room of KCCI. The meeting was chaired by Chairman of KCCI Conclave Celebration Sub-committee, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretaries, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Directors, Ms. Athmika Amin, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Shri Vincent Cutina, Past President, Shri Isaac Vas and Editor of KCCI journal, Smt. Ashrika Amin.
17-05-2025 4:00 p. m. An interactive meeting on the theme “Strengthening the Local Hospitality of our Coast” was held with homestay owners, service apartment proprietors, and Bread & Breakfast stakeholders at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Vice-President of KCCI, delivered the welcome address. Opening remarks were made by Ms. Athmika Amin, Director of KCCI and Chairperson of the Focus Area “Elevate Brand Mangaluru.” Shri Yathish Baikampady, Former CEO of the Beach Tourism Development Project, addressed the gathering, offering insights on the subject and responding to concerns raised by homestay owners. KCCI Directors Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, along with Past President Shri Isaac Vas, were also present. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Honorary Secretary of KCCI, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai.
20-05-2025 5.30 p. m. The first meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mangaluru District Council 2025-26 was held at the Banquet Hall of Ajanta Business Centre, Mangaluru. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai attended the meeting.
22-05-2025 3.00 p. m. The meeting was called by the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at their Conference Room in Baikampady, Mangaluru to train the members on obtaining 35B through online mode. The meeting was chaired by APMC Secretary, Shri CH Mohan. KCCI was represented by its Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar.
5.00 p. m. Coastal Karnataka Sailing Club organized a meeting at Credai office to discuss and formalize the establishment of Dakshina Kannada District Sailing Association. Presentation on Sailing Club was done by Shri Rohan,  Treasurer, Coastal Karnataka Sailing Club. Veteran sailors from the club, Shri Henry Britto and Shri Praveen also addressed the members present in the meeting. Members of various associations attended the meeting. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the meeting.
7.00 p. m. The Second Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Eighth Meeting of the new Committee was convened at Mangalore Club, Mangaluru. Shri Anand G Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
26-05-2025 10.30 a. m. High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and Lawyers Association jointly organized a meeting in emphasising the government in setting up of the High Court Bench in Mangaluru at Hotel Sea View, Mangaluru. Veteran advocate Shri BD Hiremath, who played a key role in the movement to establish a High Court bench in Hubballi-Dharwad attended the meeting and addressed the gathering. Mangaluru Bar Association President, Shri H. V. Raghavendra, Director, High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and MLC, Shri Ivan D’Souza, Secretary of Mangaluru Bar Association, Shri Shridhar H and other dignitaries from the Bar Association were present.  Members of various associations participated in the meeting. KCCI was represented by its President, Shri Anand G Pai and Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar.
27-05-2025 10.00 a. m. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KCCI and Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT), Moodabidri at their campus as part of Industry-Academia Interconnect. MoU was exchanged between Shri Anand G Pai., KCCI President and Dr. Prabhakar B.K., Vice-Principal, YIT.  Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, KCCI Vice-President, Shri B.A. Nazeer, Director – KCCI and Shri Mytreya A., Chief Operating Officer – KCCI, were present on the occasion. KCCI President also unveiled the college magazine, ‘YENGINEER 2024’, a platform celebrating innovation, literacy and technical accomplishments. Other dignitaries from the college were, Shri Mohammed Shahid, Campus Administrative Officer, Prof. Rohit A.R, Skill Development Officer, Prof. Rajkiran Shetty, Training & Placement Officer, IQAC Coordinator, Heads of all departments and student startup & innovation team.
3.00 p. m. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai along with Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Director, Shri B.A. Nazeer visited the proposed Plastic Park located in Ganjimutt, Mangaluru and toured the area and also witnessed the construction work of Central Institute of Plastic Engineering Technology. KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A was also on the occasion.
