The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary (Inland Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Ms. Neetu Prasad, Joint Secretary (Marine Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. The meeting was convened to deliberate on the impact of the reciprocal tariff imposed by the United States and to discuss potential relief measures. A detailed discussion was held on the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY), a Central Sector Sub-Scheme under PMMSY & Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Fund (FIDF).
