01-09-2025–11.30 a. m.–Hon. Treasurer CA Abdur Rahman Musba virtually attended the Annual General Meeting of Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL).

 

02-09-2025–9.00 a. m.–The Sixth Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Twelfth Meeting of the new committee was virtually conducted. Shri Anand G. Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers and Directors.

 

03-09-2025–9.30 a. m.–Final Pitch Day – Exploring Entrepreneurship Program was organized by Canara Engineering College at their Seminar Hall 2, Mangaluru. 14 shortlisted student teams presented their start-up ideas before the expert jury members arranged by SI8. The jury members on the occasion were Shri Vishwas US, Chairman, Start-up Sub-Committee of KCCI and Founder Director, Section Infin-8 Foundation (SI-8), Shri Puneeth Rai, Incubation Manager, Atal Incubation Centre, Nitte and Shri Ajay Prabhu Karkala, Director, KCCI and Managing Director of KVP Business Solutions, Mangaluru. Dr. Udaya Kumar K. Shenoy, Dean, Research & Development and Shri Prashanth Kumar A., Coordinator-Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college were also present on the occasion.

 

06-09-2025–11:00 a. m.–KCCI Director and Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association of India (CLFMA) Hon. Secretary, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed virtually participated in the Stakeholders Consultation Meeting under the Informal Group of Ministers (IGoM) on Social, Welfare and Security Sectors for the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAHD) held in hybrid mode to invite suggestions on the four pillars of the IGoM (legislative, policy, institutional, and process reforms) for the fisheries sector. The Meeting was chaired by Union Minister, MoFAHD and Panchayati Raj, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh. Secretary, Department of Fisheries (DoF) Shri Abhilaksh Likhi steered the consultation and feedback session aimed at identifying the challenges and reforms for enhancing production, productivity and exports promotion in the fisheries sector in line with the vision of becoming Viksit Bharat by 2047. Shri Nissar proposed to the Government that Fish Soluble Paste, a key input in the Fish Feed Industry, should be exempted from GST (0%).

 

08-09-2025 6.30 p. m.–KCCI Vice-President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar attended an exclusive round table hosted by Vertex Managed Workspace in honour of Shri John Maier, Chief Executive Officer Bose Professional, spotlighted Mangaluru’s emergence as a promising technology hub held at Ajanta Business Centre, Mangaluru. The event brought together industry leaders, academics, and government representatives to explore the city’s potential for innovation and enterprise. Shri Darshan H. V., IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District, presided over the session.

 

09-09-2025–1.00 p. m. An interactive session was organised at Wrkwrk, Mangaluru to enlighten the Delegates from Nagpur,   Shri Shashikant Chaudhary of Happy Eaters.  and Retd. Lt. Cdr. Yogesh Bhavsar from GAME on the initiatives taken by various organizations in Mangaluru for the overall growth of the Region. Also insights pertaining to the development of the region of the visiting delegates were discussed. Delegates from Other trade bodies, education institutions, trade and IT fraternity were present. The chamber was represented by its vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar.

 

  5.30 p. m.–Mangaluru International Airport officials called on KCCI Vice – President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar to discuss the preparations for the Aero Meet 2025 to be organized by Adani Airports – Mangaluru International Airport scheduled on 12th September 2025 at Hotel Avatar, Mangaluru.           Shri Man Mohan Reddy Pati, Head- Projects Project Construction, Shri Ravi Raghavendra Jere, Associate General Manager – Corporate Affairs, Shri Anagha Thekkekkara, Head – Finance & Accounts, Shri David John Lead – Legal, Shri Arun Kumar K, Lead Contract Administration & Project Planning, and Shri Jagannath Naik M, Lead- Cargo, briefed the event flow. KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor, Director, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Director and Head of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’, Focus Area of KCCI, Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Past President of KCCI, Smt. Vathika Pai attended the meeting.

–Two days Boot Camp – Elvera, Era to Elevate was organized by Swastika National Business School at Swastika WaterFront, Mangaluru. Shri Vincent Cutina, KCCI Director and Director of Provit Foods Private Limited, Mangaluru, was awarded with Swastika Udyamaratna 2025.

 

12-09-2025–10.00 a. m.

 

–KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai along with delegates from various associations, participated in a discussion organized by the newspaper Vijaya Karnataka at their Mangaluru office. The session focused on the topic ‘Roads and Infrastructure in Mangaluru’ to be featured on the occasion of Engineers’ Day.

 

  10.30 a. m.–KCCI Vice-President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar, participated in the Press Meet organized by the Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Mangaluru. The meet was held to brief the media about the upcoming Vendor Development Programme & Industrial Exhibition – MSME Expo 2025, scheduled on 18th and 19th September 2025 at Mini Town Hall, Mangaluru. The event is being jointly organized by the Ministry of MSME, KCCI, District Industries Centre (DIC), and Kanara Industries Association (KIA).

 

  4.00 p. m.–Adani Airports – Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) hosted The Aero Meet 2025 at Hotel Avatar, Mangaluru. Shri Mukesh Nankani, Chief Administrative Officer, MIA presented the Welcome address. Shri Anand G.  Pai, KCCI President, Smt. Vathika Pai – Past President of KCCI, and other delegates participated in the panel discussion on the topics, ‘Magic of Air Travel’ and ‘Magic of Mangaluru’.             Ms. M. Athmika Amin, KCCI Director and Head of Elevate Brand Mangaluru, Focus Area of KCCI, addressed the gathering on KCCI’s role in elevating brand Mangaluru. The event was attended by Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Vice-President, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Hon. Secretaries of KCCI, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Shri B.A. Nazeer and Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, Directors of KCCI. Ar. Niren Jain, Chairman of Infrastructure and Urban Development and Smart City of KCCI and Shri Mytreya A, Chief Operating Officer, KCCI were also present on the occasion.

 

15-09-2025–3.30 p. m.–KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai held a meeting with the officials from Akashvani, Mangaluru to discuss the programmes to be aired from their radio station at the President’s Chamber in KCCI. Shri P.V. Prashanth Kumar, Head of Programmes, Akashvani and Shri Lathish Paldane, Transmission Executive, Akashvani, Mangaluru proposed the programme details. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer,               Shri Mytreya A were also present in the meeting.

 

  4.00 p. m.–Shree Gokarnanatheshwara College, Mangaluru, signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) with KCCI. The MoU was exchanged between Advo. Vasanth Karandoor – Correspondent of the college and KCCI President,          Shri Anand G. Pai. Others who represented the college were, Dr. Jayaprakash – Principal and Shri Mithun Chandra, Lecturer in Commerce. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A were present on the occasion. The partnership aims to strengthen industry–academia collaboration, providing students with practical exposure, internships, and opportunities to engage with the business community.
  4.15  p. m.–Shree Bhuvanendra College (SBC), Karkala, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KCCI. The MoU was exchanged between CA Shivananda Pai, Governing Council President, SBC and KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai. Others who represented the college were, Dr Manjunatha A Kotian, Principal, Prof. Nandakishore K, HoD – BBA and Shri Santhosh Achar, Lecturer. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A were present on the occasion. The partnership aims to strengthen industry–academia collaboration, providing students with practical exposure, internships, and opportunities to engage with the business community.

 

  4.30 p. m.–Swastika National Business School (SNBS), Mangaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KCCI. The MoU was exchanged between Dr Raghavendra Holla, Chairman, SNBS and KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai. Others who represented the college were, Smt. Vidyalakshmi P. Shetty, Vice Principal and Ms. Sangeetha, staff coordinator and also a few students attended. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P. B. 16-09-2025–10.00 a. m.–A one day awareness programme on TReDS/ESM was organized by District Industries Centre, Mangaluru and Dept. of MSME, Govt. of Karnataka, in association with District Small Industries Association Mangalore (DSIAM) at District Industries Centre, Mangaluru. The event was inaugurated by Shri Manjunath Singai, General Manager, Canara Bank, Mangaluru. Shri B.A.Nazeer, KCCI Director, attended the event.

 

23-09-2025–11.00 a. m.–Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Karnataka Regional Affiliated Associations Meeting 2025 was held virtually with special focus on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiative. The meeting was chaired by Shri Guruprasad Mudlapur, Vice Chairman, CII Karnataka & President, Bosch Group in India & Managing Director, Bosch Ltd. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar attended the meet.

 

24-09-2025–10.00 a. m.–The fifth edition of Mangaluru Technovanza 2025, an initiative of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) under the Beyond Bengaluru programme was held at Dr. TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangaluru.       Shri Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT and BT, Govt. of Karnataka, Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament, Shri B.V. Naidu, Chairman of KDEM, Shri Mohandas Pai, Former Infosys CFO and other dignitaries were present on the occasion who addressed the gathering. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai participated in the panel discussion. Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and Shri Ashith B. Hegde, KCCI Directors participated in the event.

 

25-09-2025–11.00 a. m.–The 166th Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting was held at Valluvanad Hall, Divisional Office, Palakkad.  The meeting was chaired by Shri Madhukar Roat,  Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Palakkad Division. Shri M. Ahmed Bawa, the nominated member from KCCI representing DRUCC attended the meeting and put forward key suggestions concerning railway services and passenger amenities.

 

27-09-2025–4.30 p. m.–85th Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) of the Members of KCCI was held at the Meeting Hall of KCCI with the participation of members. Outgoing President, Shri Anand G. Pai addressed the members.
  5.45 p. m.

 

–Dr. K. U. Mada, a distinguished member of the Editorial Board KCCI, officially launched his latest book titled “Spirit of Enterprise – Basic Moving Force Behind Life”. The book was formally released by the President, Shri Anand G Pai, in the presence of Vice-President Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. Treasurer CA Abdur Rahman Musba, and Hon. Secretaries Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai. The book highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual contributions of Dr. Mada to the business community.

 

  6.00 p. m.–Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar was elected as the new President of KCCI at the conclusion of 85th Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) of the Members of KCCI. Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar is a partner at the family business, M/s P. B. Abdul Hameed & Sons, an established entity engaged in the trading of spices and hill produce.

 

He holds a B.E. in Biotechnology from NMAMIT, Nitte, and went on to pursue his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Alliance Business Academy, Bengaluru. He has also completed the e-Management Development Certification Programme in Investment Banking from IIM Kozhikode.

 

Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar was elected as the Vice-President, CA Abdur Rahman Musba as the Honorary Treasurer, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira were elected as Honorary Secretaries. Shri B. A. Nazeer, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Shri Amith Ramachandra, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Shri Ashith B. Hegde, CA Nandagopal Shenoy, Shri Vincent Cutinha, Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, Shri Dasharath N. Shetty & Shri Ajay Prabhu Karkala were elected as the Directors of the KCCI.

 

09-10-2025–9.30 a. m.–A two days’ workshop on ‘Technology Clinic’ was organized by MSME, Government of Karnataka, in association with Kanara Industries Association (KIA), Mangalore at C N Shetty Convention Hall, KIA, Mangaluru. Shri Gokuldas Nayak, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Mangaluru, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar, KCCI President, Shri B.A. Nazeer, KCCI Director and Chairman of Energy, Power, Banking, Finance and MSME, Sub-committee of KCCI and other dignitaries were the Chief Guests on the occasion.

 

  4.30 p. m.–KCCI President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar called on the Chairman of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA),          Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju at his office and submitted an memorandum for extension for rebate on vessel-related charges (VRC) for Container Vessels. Present in the meeting were KCCI Vice-President, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and Hon. Secretaries, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Jeethan Allen Sequiera. The office bearers of KCCI also met Smt. S. Shanthi – Dy. Chairperson, NMPA, Shri Jijo Thomas – Secretary, NMPA and Shri K. Rajendra Kumar – Traffic Manager, NMPA.

 

  5.00 p. m.–North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC), Kasaragod met the Office Bearers of KCCI at the office of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA). Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar, KCCI President, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, KCCI Vice-President, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Jeethan Allen Sequiera, Hon. Secretaries of KCCI were present during the meeting.  Other officials from NMCC present in the meeting were, Shri Sajith Kumar, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kasaragod, Shri Prasad. M. N., Convenor, NMCC, Kasargod, Shri Jaleel Kakkandam. Treasurer, NMCC, Kasargod, Shri K. C. 10-10-2025–3.00 p. m.–Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, District In-charge Minister and also Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka had an interactive meeting with the members of KCCI at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. KCCI President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar in his welcome speech briefed the Minister about the issues pertaining to the industries and also on the development of the city. A memorandum in this regard was submitted to the Minister. KCCI Vice-President, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Hon. Secretaries, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira were present on stage. KCCI Directors, Past Presidents, Sub-committee Chairmen, Office bearers of various affiliated bodies of KCCI and other members were present on the occasion.

 

KCCI Director and Head of the Focus Area on Elevate Brand Mangaluru, Ms. M. Athmika Amin, apprised the Minister about KCCI’s Brand Mangaluru initiative and the series of podcasts highlighting the region’s business prosperity and promoting it to a global audience.

 

13-10-2025–9.00 a. m.–Department of MBA, Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru organized YEN-NEETHI 2025 – “Arena of Strategies”, a National Level Management Fest for PG Students at their Seminar Hall, Balmatta Campus, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. B H Sripathi Rao, Hon. Pro Vice-Chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) and Guest of Honour was Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, President, KCCI. The event was presided by Prof. Jeevan Raj, Principal, YIASCM. Also present on the occasion, Prof. Shareena P, Dean Faculty of Commerce and Management, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) and Vice-Principal – YIASCM and Shri Narayan Sukumar A, Vice-Principal – YIASCM, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).

 

14-10-2025–9.00 a. m.–Incubation Awareness Workshop under the RAMP scheme, raising and accelerating MSME performance was organized by Govt. of Karnataka – Department of Industries and Commerce MSME Directorate, KCTU & KSMCA in association with District Industries Centre – Dakshina Kannada, MSME – Development & Facilitation office, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) and Centre for Entrepreneurship Opportunities and Learning (CEOL) Incubation Centre, Mangaluru at Fr. Robert Sequeira Hall, St. Aloysius College. Mangaluru. The event was graced in the presence of Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ, Vice Chancellor, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University). KCCI President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar was invited as a Guest on the occasion.

 

15-10-2025–11.00 a. m.–A Stake Holders meeting was held to discuss on proposed City Master Development Plan III at the office of Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Shri Mohammed Nazir, Commissioner, MUDA. KCCI was represented by its President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar.

 

  4.45 p. m.–The newly elected KCCI President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar was felicitated by Rifah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, D.K Chapter at Hidayath Centre, Mangaluru.
17-10-2025–09.00 a. m.–KCCI Past President, Shri G. G. Mohandas Prabhu met Shri. B. L. Verma, Minister of State (MoS), for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India at Jageshwara, Uttarakhand. Shri Mohandas Prabhu exchanged views with the Minister on issues concerning food distribution.

22-07-2025–11.30 a. m.–KCCI Board Members had an industrial visit to Cardolite Speciality Chemicals India LLP at Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ), Mangaluru. Shri Divakar Kadri, General Manager, Cardolite welcomed Shri Anand G. Pai, KCCI President and other Board of Directors. KCCI Hon. Treasurer and Finance Head of Cardolite, CA Abdur Rahman Musba and his team took the KCCI Board on a guided tour of the factory.
23-07-2025–11.00 a. m.–A delegation from KCCI led by President Shri Anand G. Pai, Vice President Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Chairman of the GST Sub-Committee, CA Keshava N Ballakuraya, Sub-Committee Member and Former Treasurer of KCCI, Shri Ganesh Bhat and Sub-Committee Member, Shri Abdul Khader Iddya, met senior officials of the Commercial Taxes Department in Mangaluru. The delegation held discussions with Shri Kumara V., Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Administration), Mangaluru, and Shri Lakshmipathi N Naik, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Mangalore, to address the recent GST notices issued to small traders and vendors by the State GST Department in various parts of Karnataka. The meeting was convened to convey the growing concerns of small businesses and street vendors in the region, particularly regarding the use of UPI transaction data as the basis for issuing such notices.
  4.30 p. m.–The Forth Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Tenth Meeting of the new Committee was convened at the Board Room of KCCI. Shri Anand G. Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
24-07-2025–9.30 a. m.–Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru organized Infrastructure & Logistics Summit – Pathways to Progress – Enhancing Infrastructure & Connectivity for a Resilent Future at Hotel Vivanta, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest of the summit was Dr Selvakumar S., IAS, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Govt. of Karnataka. KCCI Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the event.
  4.00 p. m.–Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Kenjar, Mangaluru signs an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KCCI as part of Industrial-Academia interconnect initiative. The MOU was exchanged between KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and the Principal and Director of the college, Dr. K.E. Prakash. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. 28-07-2025–4.00 p. m.–The First Meeting of the KCCI Knowledge Centre, Focus Area of KCCI for the year 2024-25 was convened at the President’s Chamber. 29-07-2025–3.00 p. m.–The 84th Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL) Board meeting was held in MSEZL, Mangaluru in hybrid mode. The meeting was chaired by Shri Vivek C. Tongaonkar, Chairman, MSEZL and Director (Finance) ONGC. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai attended the meeting virtually.

31-07-2025–3.00 p. m.–A Preparatory meeting on the celebrations of the Independence Day on August 15, 2025 was held at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Shri Darshan H.V., IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Mangaluru. 06-08-2025–10.30 a. m.–The golden jubilee celebration of the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union (DKWJU) was celebrated at Townhall, Mangaluru. Former chief minister of Karnataka, Shri D V Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the golden jubilee event and also opened a photo exhibition. 08-04-2025–11.45 a. m.Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Director, KCCI participated virtually in Government of India’s Outreach Programme with Fish and Shrimp Farmers and Seafood Exporters. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary (Inland Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Ms. Neetu Prasad, Joint Secretary (Marine Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. The meeting was convened to deliberate on the impact of the reciprocal tariff imposed by the United States and to discuss potential relief measures.  A detailed discussion was held on the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY), a Central Sector Sub-Scheme under PMMSY & Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Fund (FIDF).   The deliberations focused on both immediate relief and long-term strategies to support the aquaculture sector.

02-04-2025–11.30 a. m.–On occasion of 62nd National Maritime Day Celebration and the 75th Anniversary of Director General of Shipping, Mumbai, KCCI Director and Chairman of EXIM Sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeria being part of the committee together with the Dy. Conservator of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Capt. Manoj Joshi and MMD Surveyor in charge Mangaluru, Shri Bodh Raj  met the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah at his residence in Bengaluru on 2nd April  and the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot  at Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru on 3rd April, for the National Maritime Day Flag pinning on their wearing apparel.

04-04-2025–3.30 p. m.–JSW team hosted the Board of Directors of KCCI at their office in New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Mangaluru. Shri L. Ramanathan Unit Head and Vice President, JSW delivered the welcome address and briefed about the port activities. Shri Nownith Kumar – Consultant briefed about development of NH 75 roads and also about the ports activities. Shri Dilip Shetty, General Manager – Business Development addressed the members about JSW progress in revenue generation and the future plans. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai appreciated the efforts of JSW in monitoring the developments of NH 75 and also coordinating with the NH Project Directors in ensuring timely completion of the road repairs. KCCI delegates were taken through the port and briefed about container terminal and ships movements from the port.  Other team members of JSW were also present on the occasion.

11-04-2025–10.00 a. m–New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) organized a workshop on marine adversities at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Mangaluru.  Shri AV Ramana, Chairman, NMPA, presided over the event. 21-04-2025–11.00 a. m.–A meeting was held to discuss the Regional Disparities in Development in Karnataka State at Netravati Hall, Zilla Panchayat office, Mangaluru. Shri M.H. Suryanarayana, a member of the High Power Committee for Regional Imbalance Remediation, held a long discussion with the concerned departmental officials and representatives of various organisations on regional imbalance. Shri Mullai Muhilan MP IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Anand K. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and other dignitaries also addressed the audience. 28-04-2025–3.00 p. m.–The Avatar Hotel and Aerodynamiks Academy, Mangaluru launched ‘Art of Hospitality’, an exclusive course crafted to upskill and shape the future of hospitality professionals at The Avatar Hotel & Convention, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Mullai Muhilan MP, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, D.K Dist., Mangaluru. 29-04-2025–3.00 p. m.–QCI Gunvatta Yatra – An Awareness Program on Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) & LEAN Certifications and its Benefits was jointly organized by KCCI and Quality Council of India (QCI) at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai presented the welcome address. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar introduced the speakers to the audience. The distinguished speakers for the event were, Ms. Jyothi Krishna, Empanelled ZED Expert – QCI who spoke on ZED and LEAN certifications and Shri Venugopal, Advisor, NBQP – QCI addressed the members on QCI Gunvatta Yatra & QCI Activities. 4.30 p. m.–The 83rd MSEZL Board meeting was held in New Delhi in hybrid mode. The meeting was chaired by Shri Vivek C. Tongaonkar, Chairman, MSEZL and Director (Finance) ONGC. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai attended the meeting virtually.
05-05-2025–3.00 p. m.–The Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KCCI and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi District at the Board Room of the college. The MoU was exchanged between KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and SMVITM Principal, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer – KCCI, Shri Mytreya A were also present on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions (SVMET), Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Placement & Administrative Officer – MBA, SMVITM, Ms. Vidya Bhat and Heads of various departments from the college were present at the event. The renewed MoU aims to further strengthen the collaborative efforts between industry and academia. 17-05-2025–4:00 p. m.–An interactive meeting on the theme “Strengthening the Local Hospitality of our Coast” was held with homestay owners, service apartment proprietors, and Bread & Breakfast stakeholders at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Vice-President of KCCI, delivered the welcome address. Opening remarks were made by Ms. Athmika Amin, Director of KCCI and Chairperson of the Focus Area “Elevate Brand Mangaluru.” Shri Yathish Baikampady, Former CEO of the Beach Tourism Development Project, addressed the gathering, offering insights on the subject and responding to concerns raised by homestay owners. KCCI Directors Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, along with Past President Shri Isaac Vas, were also present. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Honorary Secretary of KCCI, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai.
20-05-2025–5.30 p. m.–The first meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mangaluru District Council 2025-26 was held at the Banquet Hall of Ajanta Business Centre, Mangaluru. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai attended the meeting.
22-05-2025–3.00 p. m.–The meeting was called by the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at their Conference Room in Baikampady, Mangaluru to train the members on obtaining 35B through online mode. The meeting was chaired by APMC Secretary, Shri CH Mohan. KCCI was represented by its Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar.
5.00 p. m.–Coastal Karnataka Sailing Club organized a meeting at Credai office to discuss and formalize the establishment of Dakshina Kannada District Sailing Association. Presentation on Sailing Club was done by Shri Rohan,  Treasurer, Coastal Karnataka Sailing Club. Veteran sailors from the club, Shri Henry Britto and Shri Praveen also addressed the members present in the meeting. Members of various associations attended the meeting. 26-05-2025–10.30 a. m.–High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and Lawyers Association jointly organized a meeting in emphasising the government in setting up of the High Court Bench in Mangaluru at Hotel Sea View, Mangaluru. Veteran advocate Shri BD Hiremath, who played a key role in the movement to establish a High Court bench in Hubballi-Dharwad attended the meeting and addressed the gathering. Mangaluru Bar Association President, Shri H. V. Raghavendra, Director, High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and MLC, Shri Ivan D’Souza, Secretary of Mangaluru Bar Association, Shri Shridhar H and other dignitaries from the Bar Association were present.  Members of various associations participated in the meeting. 27-05-2025–10.00 a. m.–A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KCCI and Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT), Moodabidri at their campus as part of Industry-Academia Interconnect. MoU was exchanged between Shri Anand G Pai., KCCI President and Dr. Prabhakar B.K., Vice-Principal, YIT.  Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, KCCI Vice-President, Shri B.A. Nazeer, Director – KCCI and Shri Mytreya A., Chief Operating Officer – KCCI, were present on the occasion. KCCI President also unveiled the college magazine, ‘YENGINEER 2024’, a platform celebrating innovation, literacy and technical accomplishments. 18-03-2025–11.30 a. m.–KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai submitted a memorandum to Shri Ravichandra Naik, Commissioner, Mangaluru City Corporation at his office about the concerns regarding the parking of vehicles at the open parking area outside KCCI annex and proposed solutions for the same. KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A was also present in the meeting.
3.30 p. m.–CNN News18 channel aired a live interview with KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, on March 18, 2025, as part of the ‘Rising Mangaluru’ theme. The discussion focused on the region’s development, including opportunities for attracting investments, tourism, cleanliness, safety, CSR, and other aspects. President elaborated on KCCI’s role in promoting trade and commerce in the region.

02-04-2025–11.30 a. m.–On occasion of 62nd National Maritime Day Celebration and the 75th Anniversary of Director General of Shipping, Mumbai, KCCI Director and Chairman of EXIM Sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeria being part of the committee together with the Dy. Conservator of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Capt. Manoj Joshi and MMD Surveyor in charge Mangaluru, Shri Bodh Raj  met the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah at his residence in Bengaluru on 2nd April  and the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot  at Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru on 3rd April, for the National Maritime Day Flag pinning on their wearing apparel.
4.00 p. m.–Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Sub-committee Chairman of District Coordination, Shri Devi Prasad Shetty along with Industry Sub-committee Chairman, Shri N. Satish met KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai at his Bharath Beedi Works Pvt. Ltd. office in Mangaluru and invited him for the MSME Conclave 2025 organized by FKCCI, Kassia and Peenya Industries Association on May 30th – 31st & Jun 1, 2025. 04-04-2025–3.30 p. m.–JSW team hosted the Board of Directors of KCCI at their office in New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Mangaluru. Shri L. Ramanathan Unit Head and Vice President, JSW delivered the welcome address and briefed about the port activities. Shri Nownith Kumar – Consultant briefed about development of NH 75 roads and also about the ports activities. Shri Dilip Shetty, General Manager – Business Development addressed the members about JSW progress in revenue generation and the future plans. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai appreciated the efforts of JSW in monitoring the developments of NH 75 and also coordinating with the NH Project Directors in ensuring timely completion of the road repairs. KCCI delegates were taken through the port and briefed about container terminal and ships movements from the port.  Other team members of JSW were also present on the occasion
