22-07-2025–11.30 a. m.–KCCI Board Members had an industrial visit to Cardolite Speciality Chemicals India LLP at Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ), Mangaluru. Shri Divakar Kadri, General Manager, Cardolite welcomed Shri Anand G. Pai, KCCI President and other Board of Directors. KCCI Hon. Treasurer and Finance Head of Cardolite, CA Abdur Rahman Musba and his team took the KCCI Board on a guided tour of the factory.
23-07-2025–11.00 a. m.–A delegation from KCCI led by President Shri Anand G. Pai, Vice President Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Chairman of the GST Sub-Committee, CA Keshava N Ballakuraya, Sub-Committee Member and Former Treasurer of KCCI, Shri Ganesh Bhat and Sub-Committee Member, Shri Abdul Khader Iddya, met senior officials of the Commercial Taxes Department in Mangaluru. The delegation held discussions with Shri Kumara V., Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Administration), Mangaluru, and Shri Lakshmipathi N Naik, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Mangalore, to address the recent GST notices issued to small traders and vendors by the State GST Department in various parts of Karnataka. The meeting was convened to convey the growing concerns of small businesses and street vendors in the region, particularly regarding the use of UPI transaction data as the basis for issuing such notices.
  4.30 p. m.–The Forth Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Tenth Meeting of the new Committee was convened at the Board Room of KCCI. Shri Anand G. 24-07-2025–9.30 a. m.–Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru organized Infrastructure & Logistics Summit – Pathways to Progress – Enhancing Infrastructure & Connectivity for a Resilent Future at Hotel Vivanta, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest of the summit was Dr Selvakumar S., IAS, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Govt. of Karnataka. KCCI Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the event.
  4.00 p. m.–Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Kenjar, Mangaluru signs an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KCCI as part of Industrial-Academia interconnect initiative. The MOU was exchanged between KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and the Principal and Director of the college, Dr. K.E. Prakash. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Chief Operating Officer of KCCI, Shri Mytreya A was present on the occasion. HOD, Dept. Of MBA, Dr Gayathri B. 29-07-2025–3.00 p. m.–The 84th Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL) Board meeting was held in MSEZL, Mangaluru in hybrid mode. The meeting was chaired by Shri Vivek C. 31-07-2025–3.00 p. m.–A Preparatory meeting on the celebrations of the Independence Day on August 15, 2025 was held at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Shri Darshan H.V., IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Mangaluru. Shri Raju K., Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) also addressed the members present in the meeting. Shri Mytreya A., Chief Operating Officer, KCCI attended the meeting.
06-08-2025–10.30 a. m.–The golden jubilee celebration of the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union (DKWJU) was celebrated at Townhall, Mangaluru. Former chief minister of Karnataka, Shri D V Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the golden jubilee event and also opened a photo exhibition. Dignitaries unveiled the Madhyama Suvarna Sambhrama souvenir, which was released by former Member of Parliament, D.K Dist., Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel. MLAs Shri Vedavyas Kamath and Dr. Bharath Y. Shetty and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai was one of the special invitees at the event.

07-08-2025–3.30 p. m.–The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Mangaluru and Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Mangaluru, in association with Kanara Industries Association (KIA) and District Small Industries Association Mangalore (DSIAM), jointly organized an Awareness Programme on SPREE 2025 (Scheme to Promote Registration of Employers and Employees) and ESIC Schemes & Benefits at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Vijayananth A.T, Joint Director, ESIC, SRO, Mangaluru. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai presented the welcome address. Chairman of Labour sub-committee, Shri Shamlal Yermlal, briefed the audience on the relevance of the session. DSIAM President, Shri Vishal L. Salian introduced the Chief Guest and two other speakers, Shri Hemanatha Kumar K., Social Security Officer, ESIC dept., Mangaluru and Shri P. Maheswara Reddy, Head Clerk, ESIC dept., Mangaluru. The Chief Guest presented his key note address on the SPREE 2025 scheme. Other speakers also elaborated on SPREE and ESIC schemes. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, KCCI Hon. 09-08-2025–10.30 a. m.–The launch of Home Coming platform, an initiative of getting back experienced professionals with coastal Karnataka connections to find meaningful opportunities in this region was held at Cuboid, wrkwrk Mindspace, Mangaluru. 10-08-2025–7.30 a. m.–Members of Mangalore Runners club as part of their Heritage Run visited KCCI Trade History Gallery. Ar. Niren Jain gave them a detailed Tour of the Gallery. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai and Hon. Secretary, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai was also present on the occasion.

15-08-2025–8.30 a. m.–KCCI Celebrated the 79th Independence Day at KCCI Premises.  KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai hoisted  the flag and addressed the members present.  KCCI Directors, Past Presidents, staff of KCCI and students of    St. Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) participated in the event.
19-08-2025–9.30 a. m.–KCCI held a Press Meet at Mangaluru Press Club to brief the media about KCCI’s initiative, ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai addressed the members of press on the subject. KCCI Director and Head of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’, Ms. M. Athmika Amin invited the media persons for the upcoming Creators’ Meet and also the launch of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’ later in the week. Also present in the meet were KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor, Director, Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.
20-08-2025–3.00 p. m.–As part of the launch of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’, KCCI organized the Creators’ Meet at the KCCI Meeting Hall. KCCI President Shri Anand G. 6.30 p. m.–The Fifth Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI for the financial year 2025-26 and the Eleventh Meeting of the Committee was convened at “Orchid”, Thyme Restaurant, Mangaluru. Shri Anand G. Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
21-08-2025–3.00 p. m.–The Third Meeting of the Infrastructure and Urban Development and Smart City Sub-Committee of KCCI was convened at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Faculty & students from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Bhopal, (Urban & Regional Planning) shared their preliminary insights on Mangaluru’s infrastructure, Urban planning and sought KCCI’s perspectives on the city’s future. The Chairman of the committee, Ar. Niren Jain welcomed the delegates from the college. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor were on stage. Also present on the occasion were, KCCI Past President, Shri Isaac Vas and Shri Rohit Bhat from WrkWrk.
23-08-2025–5.00 p. m.–KCCI officially unveiled its flagship focus for the year, “Elevate Brand Mangaluru”. This multi-phase initiative was aimed at showcasing Mangaluru’s immense potential to a global audience. The Chief Guests on the occasion were, Shri U.T. Khader, Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada Dist. Shri Anand G Pai, President, KCCI welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the launch event. Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Director and Chairperson of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’, KCCI digitally launched phase 1 of ‘Elevate Brand Mangaluru’. Directors of KCCI, members from media, social influencers and other delegates were present on the occasion.

08-04-2025–11.45 a. m.Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Director, KCCI participated virtually in Government of India’s Outreach Programme with Fish and Shrimp Farmers and Seafood Exporters. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary (Inland Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Ms. Neetu Prasad, Joint Secretary (Marine Fisheries), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. The meeting was convened to deliberate on the impact of the reciprocal tariff imposed by the United States and to discuss potential relief measures.  A detailed discussion was held on the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMMKSSY), a Central Sector Sub-Scheme under PMMSY & Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Fund (FIDF).   The deliberations focused on both immediate relief and long-term strategies to support the aquaculture sector.

Shri Sandeep Kumar Maini, Chairman, Maini Group, Bengaluru was the Speaker on this occasion who addressed the gathering. He was introduced by Vice-President and Convenor of the Conclave, Shri P.B. 24-06-2025–10.30 a. m.–The institution of management and commerce, department of BBA, Srinivas University, under the management forum, organized ‘IGNITIA 2025 – One Spark, Many Voices’, an inaugural event for the various forums and the BBA student council at their campus auditorium. Shri Mytreya A, Chief Operating Officer, KCCI inaugurated the event and pinned the badges for the student council members and also department heads. Dr. Venkatesh Amin, Dean, Prof. Shilpa, HoD and Prof. Yashwini and Prof. Ramitha, the Management Forum Incharge, were present on stage.

Ramachandran, IAS, Hon’ble Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways at Hotel Vivanta, Mangaluru. NMPA Chairman, Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju, Deputy Chairperson, Ms. S. Shanthi and other dignitaries addressed the gathering. KCCI Director and Chairman of EXIM Cell Committee of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the event. An interactive session on strengthening regional co-operation in the Livestock and Poultry sectors, the CLFMA of India, in association with the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association (SLVA) and the World Poultry Science Association (WPSA), Sri Lanka Branch was hosted at Colombo, SRI LANKA.  KCCI Director, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed participated in the event.

04-07-2025–11.00 a. m.–The Department of Labour, Mangaluru division, Govt. of Karnataka organized a meeting in creating awareness against drug abuse and other illegal activities by labourers working in various sectors at Assistant Labour Commissioner’s office, Labour Department, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Naziya Sulthan, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Mangaluru Division, Mangaluru. Shri B.R. Kumar, Labour Officer, Sub-Division 1, Mangaluru and Smt. Wilma Tauro, Labour Officer, Sub-Division 2, Mangaluru. Civil Contractors Associaiton, KCCI, Kanara Industries Association (KIA) and other association members were present in the meeting.  KCCI was represented by its Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.

Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada District at his office in Circuit House, Mangaluru. Vice-President briefed about Brand Mangaluru, one of the key focus areas of KCCI for the year. Ms. Athmika Amin, Director and Head of Brand Mangaluru, explained the plans taken by KCCI on the subject and invited him in launching the said event. He was also presented the latest journal of KCCI. Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Hon. Secretary of KCCI and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A was also present on the occasion.
09-07-2025–1.00 p. m.–A Peace Meeting was convened at the Netravati Hall of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, chaired by the Hon’ble Home Minister of Karnataka, Shri G. Parameshwara. Distinguished dignitaries present on the dais included District In-charge Minister, Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Member of Parliament, Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District, Shri Darshan H.V., among others. The meeting brought together political leaders, community representatives, and heads of various organisations for a meaningful dialogue aimed at restoring and strengthening communal harmony in the region. 24-06-2025–10.30 a. m.–The institution of management and commerce, department of BBA, Srinivas University, under the management forum, organized ‘IGNITIA 2025 – One Spark, Many Voices’, an inaugural event for the various forums and the BBA student council at their campus auditorium. 02-04-2025–11.30 a. m.–On occasion of 62nd National Maritime Day Celebration and the 75th Anniversary of Director General of Shipping, Mumbai, KCCI Director and Chairman of EXIM Sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeria being part of the committee together with the Dy. Conservator of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Capt. Manoj Joshi and MMD Surveyor in charge Mangaluru, Shri Bodh Raj  met the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah at his residence in Bengaluru on 2nd April  and the Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot  at Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru on 3rd April, for the National Maritime Day Flag pinning on their wearing apparel.
4.00 p. m.–Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Sub-committee Chairman of District Coordination, Shri Devi Prasad Shetty along with Industry Sub-committee Chairman, Shri N. 04-04-2025–3.30 p. m.–JSW team hosted the Board of Directors of KCCI at their office in New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Mangaluru. Shri L. Ramanathan Unit Head and Vice President, JSW delivered the welcome address and briefed about the port activities. Shri Nownith Kumar – Consultant briefed about development of NH 75 roads and also about the ports activities. Shri Dilip Shetty, General Manager – Business Development addressed the members about JSW progress in revenue generation and the future plans. KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai appreciated the efforts of JSW in monitoring the developments of NH 75 and also coordinating with the NH Project Directors in ensuring timely completion of the road repairs. KCCI delegates were taken through the port and briefed about container terminal and ships movements from the port.  Other team members of JSW were also present on the occasion.

21-04-2025–11.00 a. m.–A meeting was held to discuss the Regional Disparities in Development in Karnataka State at Netravati Hall, Zilla Panchayat office, Mangaluru. Shri M.H. Suryanarayana, a member of the High Power Committee for Regional Imbalance Remediation, held a long discussion with the concerned departmental officials and representatives of various organisations on regional imbalance. Shri Mullai Muhilan MP IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Anand K. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and other dignitaries also addressed the audience. KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai presented the welcome address. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar introduced the speakers to the audience. 05-05-2025–3.00 p. m.–The Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KCCI and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi District at the Board Room of the college. The MoU was exchanged between KCCI President, Shri Anand G Pai and SMVITM Principal, Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat. KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar and Chief Operating Officer – KCCI, Shri Mytreya A were also present on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions (SVMET), Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. 17-05-2025–4:00 p. m.–An interactive meeting on the theme “Strengthening the Local Hospitality of our Coast” was held with homestay owners, service apartment proprietors, and Bread & Breakfast stakeholders at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Vice-President of KCCI, delivered the welcome address. Opening remarks were made by Ms. Athmika Amin, Director of KCCI and Chairperson of the Focus Area “Elevate Brand Mangaluru.” Shri Yathish Baikampady, Former CEO of the Beach Tourism Development Project, addressed the gathering, offering insights on the subject and responding to concerns raised by homestay owners. KCCI Directors Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, along with Past President Shri Isaac Vas, were also present. 26-05-2025–10.30 a. m.–High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and Lawyers Association jointly organized a meeting in emphasising the government in setting up of the High Court Bench in Mangaluru at Hotel Sea View, Mangaluru. Veteran advocate Shri BD Hiremath, who played a key role in the movement to establish a High Court bench in Hubballi-Dharwad attended the meeting and addressed the gathering. Mangaluru Bar Association President, Shri H. V. Raghavendra, Director, High Court Peeta Horata Samiti and MLC, Shri Ivan D’Souza, Secretary of Mangaluru Bar Association, Shri Shridhar H and other dignitaries from the Bar Association were present.  Members of various associations participated in the meeting. 3.30 p. m.–CNN News18 channel aired a live interview with KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, on March 18, 2025, as part of the ‘Rising Mangaluru’ theme. The discussion focused on the region’s development, including opportunities for attracting investments, tourism, cleanliness, safety, CSR, and other aspects. President elaborated on KCCI’s role in promoting trade and commerce in the region.

–4.30 p. m.–Govt. of Karnataka hosted the Global Investors’ Meet: Invest Karnataka 2025, from February 12th to 14th, 2025. The inauguration was held on February 11th, 2025 at the iconic Bengaluru Palace. The theme for this year being, “Reimagining Growth”, embodies Karnataka’s vision to drive growth that is tech-driven, green, inclusive, and resilient, reflecting our state’s leadership in innovation and sustainable development.  KCCI Vice-President, Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar represented KCCI for the inaugural event and also attended the session the next day.
12-02-2025–5.30 p. m.–The First Meeting of the GST Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2024-25 was convened at the Conference Room of Volkswagen Showroom, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the GST sub-committee of KCCI, CA Keshava N. Ballakuraya. The meeting was attended by KCCI President, Shri Anand G. Pai, Hon.Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and other members of the committee, Shri M. Ganesh Bhat and Shri Abdul Khader Iddya.
6.30 p. m.–The Eleventh Meeting of the Board of Directors of KCCI and for the financial year 2024-25 and the Fifth Meeting of the new Committee was convened at the Conference Hall of Madhuvan’s Village Restaurant, Mangaluru. Shri Anand G. Pai, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
13-02-2025–11.00 a. m.–A State GST consultative meeting was held at Vanijya Therige Bhavan, Mangaluru. The meeting was attended by CA Keshava N. Ballakuraya, Chairman of the Indirect Tax Committee and KCCI Indirect Tax Committee members, Shri Ganesh Bhat and Shri Abdul Khader Iddya. A memorandum was submitted to the office on the grievances received from the KCCI members. The Joint Commissioners of GST, including Joint Commissioner (Admin) Shri Kumara V, Joint Commissioner of GST (Enforcement) Shri Lakshapathi Narayana Naik and Joint Commissioner (Appeal) Smt. Sulakshana S N were present in the meeting. Shri Kumara V responded positively to the concerns raised by KCCI representatives.

17-02-2025–10.00 a. m.–On the eve of International Customs Day 2025, the Mangaluru Customs Commissionerate organised an ‘Outreach Programme and Indian Customs Trade Mela’ at the New Customs House, Mangaluru. The event was held under the theme ‘Customs Delivering on its Commitment to Efficiency, Security, and Prosperity’. Customs commissioner P. Vinitha Shekar inaugurated the event. 24-02-2025–4.30 p. m.–The Second Meeting of the Infrastructure and Urban Development and Smart City Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2024-25 was convened at the Conference Room of KCCI. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the sub-committee, Ar. Niren Jain. The meeting was attended by KCCI Vice-President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Hon. Secretary, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor. 27-02-2025 & 28-02-2025–10.00 a. m.–Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) jointly organized a two days’ Business Workshop for Entrepreneurs at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. The Welcome address was delivered by Shri Ajith Kamath, Chairman, CII Mangaluru. Special addresses were delivered by Shri Anand G. Pai, President – KCCI and Shri Prakash Kalbavi, Forum Chair, CII Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum. The CII – CEL Project was addressed by Shri Kaushal Singh Co-Founder, Poornatha Partnering Entrepreneurs Pvt Ltd. The Keynote address was delivered by Shri Mukund Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director, Ideal Ice cream Private Limited.  Inaugural Address was delivered by Chief Guest, Shri Devaraj K, IEDS, Joint Director, Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Ministry of MSME, Govt of India.
