04-07-2022 – 2.00 p. m. – An interactive meeting was held between the officials of Adani Mangaluru International Airport Ltd (AMIAL) and KCCI at the conference room of KCCI. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed Shri Nirav Shah, Chief Airport Officer and Shri Vipin Nair, Head, Human Resources from AMAIL. Shri Nirav Shah discussed various infrastructure development measures in the airport in the coming months and took suggestions from the members present in the meeting. KCCI Vice-President Shri Ganesh M. Kamath, Director Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Past President Shri P.B. Abdul Hameed and Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya were present. Hon. 13-07-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – An interactive meeting with Industrial Linkage Cell was organized by District Skill Development office, Mangaluru at Kanara Industries Association (KIA) Hall, Baikampady, Mangaluru. . KIA President Shri Isaac Vas welcomed the Chief Guest, Shri Hemachandra, District Skill Development Officer, Govt. of Karnataka and industry members who were present. Shri Hemachandra briefed the members about various state government schemes and also answered to the queries by the members. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor delivered the vote of thanks.
16&17-07-2022 – 9.30 a. m. – State Level Conference of District Chambers of Commerce and Industry was jointly organized by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Bengaluru and Karnatak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Hubballi at Hotel Denissons, Hubballi. Chief Guest on the occasion was Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Basavaraj S. Bommai. Guest of Honour was Hon’ble Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Govt. of Karnataka, Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani. FKCCI Bengaluru President, Dr. CA I.S. Prasad, KCCI Hubballi President, Shri Vinay J. Javali and other office bearers were present on the stage. Presidents/representatives of 30 district chambers of commerce across Karnataka participated in the two days conference. KCCI, Mangaluru was represented by its Director Shri P.B. 21-07-2022 – 11.30 a. m. – An Interactive meeting with Dakshina Kannada district officers, the heads of construction workers’ unions and construction owners’ unions was called by the Deputy Labour Commissioner (Nodal officer) (DLC -Construction Board), Govt. of Karnataka for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Shivamogga districts, Shri K.V. Johnson at the Karmika Bhavan, Konchadi, Mangaluru to discuss about issues related to construction workers of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Representatives from various construction unions expressed their concerns and provided suggestions to the officers present. Assistant Labour Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada, Govt. of Karnataka, Shri Shivakumar also addressed the gathering. KCCI was represented by the Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A.
22-07-2022 – 4.30 p. m. – Regional Provident Fund commissioner – 1, Shri N. Gopalakrishnan met KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor to brief about the PF scheme, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) for members working in unorganized sectors. He sought KCCI support in the enrolment of members in this scheme. Section Supervisor, Shri Santhosh Kumar was also present in the meeting. 25-07-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – KCCI organized an industrial visit by the BBA (Aviation and Hospitality Management) students of P.A First Grade college, Nadupadavu, Mangaluru, at Adani Mangaluru International Airport, Mangaluru. Ms. Pooja and Ms. Suhani, Airport Customer Service Executives, explained about various departmental functions in the departure terminal for domestic and international passengers. Students were also taken to the arrival hall and customs clearance area and shown them the procedures.
27-07-2022 – 2.30 p. m. – KCCI organized a seminar on ‘Decisions of the 47th GST Council Meeting and other relevant issues’ at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Business owners, GST practitioners, accountants and students participated in the seminar. Smt. Hemalatha, Asst. Commissioner, SGSTO – 260 and CA Vikas Shenoy from Mangaluru addressed the seminar. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed the speakers and the audience. The speakers were introduced by KCCI Vice President, Shri Ganesh M. Kamath. 28-07-2022 – 10.30 a. m. – District level Single Window committee and Kaigarika Spandana meeting was held at the District Industries Centre (DIC), Yeyyadi, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Rajendra K.V. Also present was Joint Director, DIC, Shri Gokuldas Nayak. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor attended the meeting.
10-08-2022 – 2.45 p. m. – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KCCI and SDM Law College (SDMLC), Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research in Law, Mangaluru at the KCCI President’s Chamber. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and Principal/Chairman of SDM Law College, Dr. Tharanath, exchanged the MoU. Present on the occasion were KCCI Hon. Secretaries and Directors, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Shri Ananthesh V. Prabhu, KCCI Director and In-charge of Industry- Academia Interconnect of KCCI, Shri P.B. 3.30 p. m. – KCCI organized a seminar on ‘Cyber Security – to prevent yourself and your business from cyber criminals and the bad hackers’, addressed by Shri Robinson D’Souza, Cyber Security Expert, at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. KCCI President, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed the speaker and the guests. The speaker was introduced to the audience by the KCCI Vice-President, Shri Ganesh M Kamath. 12-08-2022 – 9.30 a. m. – Vivekananda College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Puttur, a centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, P G Department of Commerce (M.Com), in association with IQAC organized one day national level Inter-Collegiate UG Commerce Fest, VYOM 2022 (Vibrant, Young and Outstanding Minds). at their PG Seminar Hall. 3.00 p. m. – New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), Mormugao Port Authority and Cochin Port Authority celebrated 25th year of PPP Investments in Major Ports, ‘Maritime Public-Private-Partnership Conclave 2022 at NMPA Business Development Centre, Panambur, Mangaluru. KCCI was represented by Director and Chairman of EXIM Cell of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira who participated in the panel discussion on stakeholders’ perspective: current scenario, trends and developments.
15-08-2022 – 9.00 a. m. – 76th Independence Day was celebrated at KCCI. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President of KCCI hoisted the national flag. Event was attended by KCCI Vice President Shri Ganesh M Kamath, Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Director and Editor of the journal Ms. Athmika Amin, Director Shri P.B. 17-08-2022 – 9.00 a. m. – The Fifth Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2022-23 and the eleventh meeting of the present committee of KCCI was held at the Board room of KCCI. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of Directors and special invitees.
20-08-2022 – 10.00 a. m. – On the occasion of Amrith Mahotsav of India’s Independence, the World Konkani Centre commemorated the Konkani stalwarts who contributed to the framing of Indian Constitution. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President, KCCI, unveiled the portraits of stalwarts at the World Konkani Hall of Fame, Rev. Fr. Anil D’Mello, Director, Fatima Retreat Centre, released the booklet on the five stalwarts.
23-08-2022 – 11.30 a. m. – Stakeholders’ meeting was held virtually by The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India. KCCI was represented by its President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor. Various initiatives on the infrastructure development of the airport were discussed. Suggestions from KCCI were also taken.
26-08-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – The 16th Annual General Meeting of Mangalore SEZ Ltd was held through webex meeting platform. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor attended the meeting.
01-09-2022 – 12.00 noon – KCCI organized a special lecture on ‘Opportunities and threats in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution’ at Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College (SDM), Mangaluru. Prof. CA Lionel Aranha, Chairman of KCCI ADR Sub-Committee addressed the students. Also present on the occasion were Mrs. Deepa Salian, Faculty Convener, ADR Cell, SDM Law College, Dr. Shaheema A. S., Assistant Professor of Law, SDM Law College and KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.
07-09-2022 – 10.30 a. m. – Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in association with Karnataka Bank Ltd., Mangaluru organized an Townhall Event, ‘Forex For You’ at Dr. T. M. A. Pai International Convention Center. The event was attended by various companies involved in EXIM trade, various banks and other associations. RBI Regional Director Shri R.Gurumurthy presided the event. Shri M S Mahabaleshwara, MD and CEO of Karnataka Bank addressed the gathering. RBI General Manager, Shri D.K. Kashyap, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Shri Mithosh Raghavan P also addressed the gathering. The speakers briefed on RBI guidelines and directions, FEMA regulations, regulatory expectations in relation to foreign exchange transactions etc. KCCI was represented by CA B. Chandrakanth Rao, Chairman of KCCI Accounts and Audit committee and Chief Operating Office of KCCI, Shri Mytreya A.
09-09-2022 – 9.30 a. m. – KCCI, KCCI ADR Centre in association with Mangalore SEZ Ltd. organized a workshop on ‘Contracts & Alternative Dispute Resolutions – Means of settling disputes outside the court room’. Prof. CA Lionel Aranha, Chairman of KCCI ADR Sub-Committee conducted the workshop. The workshop was well attended by representatives of companies operating within the Mangalore SEZ Ltd. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President, KCCI welcomed the participants. Keynote address was delivered by Shri V. Suryanarayana, CEO, Mangalore SEZ Ltd. Also present on the occasion was CS Phani Bushan, Company Secretary of Mangalore SEZ Ltd. Chief Operating Officer of KCCI, Shri Mytreya A gave the vote of thanks.
3.30 p. m. – CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, Hon. Secretary, KCCI inaugurated the Commerce Association of the Department of Commerce of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) for the year 2022 -23. He spoke on the importance of the commerce education to foster trade and industry and also the role played by KCCI in promoting trade in the region.
10-09-2022 – 9.30 a. m. – Manipal Institue of Technology, Manipal and Innovation Centre, MAHE in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangalore, organized Academia-Industry Conclave 1.0. KCCI was represented by the President, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Director and Incharge of Industry Academia Interconnect of KCCI, Shri P.B.Ahmed Mudassar addressed the gathering on Initiatives for Industries by KCCI and opportunities for students of the colleges having MoUs with KCCI. Chief Operating Officer of KCCI, Shri Mytreya A was also present.
16-09-2022 – 2.30 p. m. – A workshop on GST departmental audit and annual return is organized by KCCI at their Meeting Hall. KCCI President, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor delivered the welcome address. Vice-President, Shri Ganesh M Kamath introduced the speakers. Ms. Meera Pandit, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest on the occasion who addressed the audience. CA Coline O. Rodrigues presented the topic on ‘GST Audit notices and how to respond to such notices’ and CA Vikas Shenoy spoke on ‘Filing of Form 9 under GST – its importance and implications’. 12-05-2022 – 4.30 p. m. – The Kaigarika Adalath programme was held at Dr. T.M.A Pai International Convention Hall, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Minister of Medium & Large – Scale Industries, Govt. of Karnataka, Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani. Various industry associations participated in the interactive meet to discuss about various issues concerning industries. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor attended the meeting.
18-05-2022 – 4.30 p .m. – The Second Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2022-23 and the eighth meeting of the present committee of KCCI was held at the Board Room of KCCI, Chamber building, Mangaluru. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President, KCCI chaired the meeting. Directors and special invitees were present in the meeting.
24-05-2022 – 10.00 a. m. – Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Karnataka, NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme), Kaushalya Karnataka and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) jointly organized district level “Advantage Apprenticeship Awareness Program” at Hotel Deepa Comforts, Mangaluru. Shri Isaac Vas, President, Kanara Industries Association (KIA) delivered his welcome address. Shri Hemachandra, District Skill Development Officer, Dakshina Kannada, gave an overview of District Skill Development and Apprenticeship promotional activities. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, KCCI President addressed the gathering. Also present were Shri Prakash Rao Kalbhavi, Vice Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru and Ms. Athmika Amin, Hon. Secretary, KIA who presented their views on the role of apprenticeship in the organization. Closing remarks was given by Shri Hemachandra, District Skill Development Officer, Dakshina Kannada.
31-05-2022 – 4.30 p. m. – An informal meeting was called by Shri Sanjay D’Souza, Business Head, Emerging Enterprises Group, HDFC Bank, at the conference Hall of KCCI. He briefed the President, Office-Bearers and Directors on various financial assistance by the bank to the MSMEs. President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed the group from the HDFC bank. Feedback and suggestions about their services were taken by the bank. Other officers from the group were Shri Purna Nayak, Regional Head, Karnataka, Shri Vinup Thankappan, Territory Head, Mangaluru, Shri Prakash Padiyar, Relationship Manager, Mangaluru, Shri Chidananda Shetty, Cluster Head, Mangaluru, Shri Rajesh Pai, Manager, Kottara Branch. 05-06-2022 – 9.30 a. m. – KCCI celebrated World Environment Day by planting a sapling at the KCCI premises. KCCI Past President Shri P. B. Abdul Hameed graced the event by planting the sapling. Present on the occasion were KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Vice-President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Director Shri P. B. Ahmad Mudassar, Past Hon. Treasurer Shri Ahmad Bava and staff of KCCI.
06-06-2022 – 10.00 a. m. – Department of Commerce (Professional), St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized Professional Day at their Robert Sequeira Auditorium, Loyola Centre for Research and Innovation (LRCI). Principal of St. Aloysius College, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis S. J. presented the key note address. Chief Guest for the event KCCI President, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor addressed the students. 07-06-2022 – 12 noon – District Consultative committee meeting of GST (Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts) was held in GST office, Mangaluru to discuss about various issues related to GST. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Meera Suresh Pandit, Joint Commissioner, Administration, DGSTO- Mangaluru. Various tax practitioners from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts attended the meeting. 10-06-2022 – 3.00 p. m. – The third meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Karnataka State Council 2022-23, was held at hotel Avatar, Attavar, Mangaluru. The meeting was followed by an interactive session with Shri Kamal Bali, Deputy Chairman, CII Southern Region, and President & Managing Director, Volvo India Pvt. Ltd. Panel discussion was held on “Navigating the new normal: Building Resilience, Finding Opportunities, and Managing Growth” by Past Chairman of CII Karnataka with Mangaluru members. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor attended the meeting.
16-06-2022 – 10.30 a. m. – KCCI organized Industrial visit to the BBA and B.com – Logistics and Supply Chain Management students of P.A First Grade college, Nadupadavu, Mangaluru, at Deccan Plast Industries, Baikampady, Mangaluru. Shri Nizamuddin M M, Manager, Deccan Plast Industries oriented the students at the manufacturing plant.
18-06-2022 – 6.30 p. m. – KCCI Members’ Day Conclave 2022 was held at Dr. T. M. A. Pai International Convention Centre, M. G. Road, Mangaluru. Members’ Day Lecture was delivered by Chief Guest, Shri Shrinivas V. Dempo, Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies, Goa who enthralled the audience with his inspiring lecture. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, KCCI President welcomed Shri Dempo, Board of Directors, Past Presidents, committee members, members and invitees. The Past Presidents were honoured by Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor. Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Convenor and Vice-President, KCCI introduced Shri Dempo to the audience. Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Hon. 22 & 23-06-2022 – 1.45 p. m. – KCCI organized industrial visits to the BBA – Aviation and Hospitality Management students of P.A First Grade college, Nadupadavu, Mangaluru, at Hotel Avatar, Attavar, Mangaluru. Executive Director, Shri Prashant Aroor, Hotel Avatar and his team extended their hospitality and guided the students across various services they offered and also the career opportunities in this industry.
23-06-2022 – 3.00 p. m. – KCCI organized an industrial visit to the BBA – Aviation and Hospitality Management students of P.A First Grade college, Nadupadavu, Mangaluru, at the Hotel Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, Mangaluru. Ms. Sulochana Shetty, HR Manager and Shri Sai Kapil, Flight Catering Manager, Hotel Ocean Pearl, briefed the students about various services they offered to the customers.
25-06-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – KCCI organized an industrial visit to the B.SC – Food Technology students of P. A. First Grade college, Nadupadavu, Mangaluru, at Aruna Industries, Padubidri, Mangaluru district. Shri Sukumar C. Shriyan, General Manager, Ms. Krithika R Bangera, Junior HR Officer,  Shri Sukesh S. Suvarna, Supervisor, Aruna Industries, oriented the students at the manufacturing plant and briefed them about their various consumer products.
27-06-2022 – 3.00 p. m. – Mangaluru Branch of Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated International MSME Day by organizing a CPE seminar on the topic, ‘Role of CA as a Business Solution Provider to MSMEs’. The event was held at ICAI Bhavan, Mahendra Arcade, Mangaluru. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor was the Chief Guest on the occasion. CA Aditya Kuchibhotla from Bengaluru was the resource person.
27-06-2022 – 5.00 p. m. – CHD (Centre for Health Development) group celebrated their eighth Foundation Day by organizing a discussion on “Public Health in all policies” . The event was held at the Vajra Hall, Moti Mahal, Mangaluru. Dr. Edmond Fernandes, Founder and CEO, CHD Group welcomed the gathering. Guests of Honour for the event were His Excellency Shri Federico Salas Lotfe, Ambassador of Mexico to India and Dr. Harsha Somaroo, President, Public Health Association of South Africa.  KCCI Hon. 23-03-2022 – 11.00 a.m – Additional District Commissioner Shri Krishna Moorthy H.K., held a meeting at his office to discuss about the event to be conducted by the state government on ‘Election system and the need for improvements’ at the Town Hall of Mangaluru on 01st April, 2022. 24-03-2022 – 9.00 a. m. – An informal meeting was called by Sr. Vice President, Dr. L. Ravindran of Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) and KCCI, Mangaluru at the hotel, The Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, Mangaluru. The Chambers shared their activities and challenges related to their jurisdictions and ways to take them forward. It may be recalled that Justice Abdul Nazeer had inaugurated the KCCI ADR Centre on 14th March, 2020.
21-02-2022 – 10.30 a. m. – Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) organized a public hearing on tariff revision application by Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (MESCOM) at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. 6.30 p. m. – Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangalore, organized District Council Meeting at The Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru, to discuss on their council’s activities during the last one year including the Covid initiatives taken in the wake of third wave. KCCI was represented by the President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and the Director and Chairman of Information Technology under Industrial Cell sub-committee of KCCI Shri Ashith B Hegde.
31-01-2022 – 10.30 a. m. – Centre for Management Studies & Research, P.A. College of Engineering under the patronage of Shri Abdulla Ibrahim, Vice-Chairman, PACE Group organized an Orientation Programme of MBA 2002-2004 batch at their Multipurpose Hall in their campus. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor was the Chief Guest who addressed the students. The Guests of Honour for the event were Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director and In-charge of Industry-Academia Interconnect, KCCI and Shri Mytreya A, Chief Operating Officer, KCCI. The event was presided by Dr. Ramis M.K, Principal, PACE. Also present were Dr. Surfraz J Hasim, Principal, P.A. First Grade college and Shri Sharfuddin, AGM (Campus), P.A. Educational Trust.
04-02-2022 – 5.00 p. m. – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KCCI and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal at the President’s Chamber at KCCI. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and Vice Principal and Dean, Research, Dr. Prof. Ganesh Aithal exchanged the MoU. Present on the occasion were KCCI Hon. 5.30 p. m. – KCCI invited all the colleges’ representatives having their MoUs with KCCI for the interactive session on Industry Academia engagement program – The way forward at the conference room of KCCI. The meeting was chaired by the KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor. KCCI Director and Chairman of Information Technology under Industrial Cell sub-committee of KCCI Shri Ashith B Hegde addressed the college representatives on the importance of Supply Chain Management. KCCI Vice-President Shri Ganesh Kamath, Director and In-charge of Industry Academia Interconnect Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director Shri Amit Ramachandra, Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A also interacted with the members present. Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed presented the details of internships provided by KCCI to students of a few colleges at various companies and later delivered the vote of thanks.
05-02-2022 – 12 Noon – A representation was submitted by KCCI to Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Shri Akshay Shridhar at MCC office to grant permission to KCCI to maintain the parking area for the public situated at the annex of the chamber and also to maintain the garden and toilet. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Port Ward Corporator Shri Abdul Lateef also met the commissioner.
08-02-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – The North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Cannanore, KCCI, Mangaluru, Central University of Kerala, Department of Commerce and International Business, School of Business Studies in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) organized Skill Development Programme on the topic, ‘Discussion on Union Budget 2022’ which was held virtually. Ms. Dheera K R, Faculty, Department of Commerce and International Business welcomed the gathering. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor presented his inaugural address. The presidential address was by Prof. Dr. T Mallikarjunappa, Head, Department of Commerce and International Business, Central University of Kerala.

17-12-2021 – 11.00 a. m. – Offices of Bengaluru Customs Zone organized inauguration of Mobile X-ray Container Scanner (MXCS) at Container Scanning Yard, New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), Panambur, Mangaluru. Shri Vivek Johri, IRS, Hon’ble Chairman, CBIC, New Delhi was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the scanner. The event was attended by the KCCI Director and Chairman of Customs, Exporters and CHA Relationship of EXIM Cell of KCCI Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira.

Ullas Kamath, Joint Managing Director, Jyothy Labs Limited visited Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) to discuss with the board of directors on Family Business and how KCCI can play a role in facilitating a boost to family business and its growth. KCCI President Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed him on this occasion. Shri K. Ullas Kamath released the December issue of the ‘Journal of Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry’ that focused on “Family Business & its way forward”. Others present on the occasion were Hon.  – Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) organized a meeting at Mangala Sabangana on annual income and expenditure for the year 2022-2023 to seek suggestions and feedback from various stakeholders. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Shri Premananda Shetty. KCCI was represented by the Honorary Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A.
05-01-2022 – 5.00 p. m. – Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Rajendra KV, called emergency meeting at D.C office, Mangaluru. Expert Committee, various associations and media were briefed about the state government guidelines on night curfews during the week and weekend curfews for two weeks and to strictly abide by the government order. KCCI Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A attended the meeting.
10-01-2022 – 10.00 a. m. – The 14th Advisory Committee meeting of the Mangaluru Smart City Limited was held at the Court Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Rajendra K V, IAS. Also present in the meeting were the Managing Director of Mangaluru Smart City Ltd., Shri Prashant Kumar Mishra, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Shri Akshy Shridhar, Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman Shri Ravishankar Mijar. KCCI was represented by its President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor.
    3.00 p. m. – A meeting was called to discuss about the arrangements for the district level Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2022. The meeting was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting was chaired by Shri Manikya, Additional Deputy Commissioner Incharge. 13-01-2022 – 11.00 a. m. – A memorandum was submitted to Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Rajendra K.V by the KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor on the Closure of road between Kilometer 220 – 230 on Shiradi Ghat. Request to permit cargo movements during this period and other suggestions were made.
