17-12-2021–4.00 p. m.–Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K.V. held a meeting at his office with the President of KCCI Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor. He discussed about the objections raised by KCCI as per the memorandum submitted to him against the complete closure of Shiradi Ghat for repair of roads to be carried out for six months. Shri Jeethan Sequeira, Director and Chairman of EXIM cell of KCCI also attended.
5.00 p. m.–Meeting of ‘Promotion and Facilitation Committee’ was held through video conference under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka. The meeting was organized by the Office of Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone, Kakkanad, Cochin. KCCI was represented by its President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and Director and Chairman of EXIM cell of KCCI, Shri Jeethan Sequeira.
20-01-2022–11.30 p. m.–Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K.V invited KCCI President Shri Shasidhar Pai Maroor to participate in the virtual meeting with Union Minister for National Highways and Road Transport Shri Nitin Gadkari at Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) to discuss about the four-lane road between Bengaluru and Mangaluru via Sakleshpur and Shiradi Ghat. Director and Chairman of EXIM cell of KCCI Shri Jeethan Sequiera also attended.
21-01-2022–3.00 p. m.–District Outreach Programme for Promotion of Exports from Dakshina Kannada under Niryat Bandhu Scheme was virtually held. The event was jointly organized by Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Kanara Industries Association (KIA) and District Industries Centre (DIC). KCCI Past President and President of Kanara Industries Association (KIA) Shri Isaac Vas delivered his special address. Others present at the session also spoke on the said topic. KCCI was represented by the Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Directors, Shri Amit Ramachandra, Shri B.A. Nazeer and Shri Nitte Yathiraj Shetty.
24-01-2022–2.00 p. m.–Central University of Kerala, Department of Commerce and International Business, School of Business Studies in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), virtually organized Entrepreneurship Development Programme with the topic “Business Automation” to enhance the employability of the students. KCCI Director and In-charge of Industry Academia Interconnect Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar delivered his inaugural address. KCCI Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A also participated. Dr. Haritha PH, Faculty, Department of Commerce and International Business, Central University of Kerala, gave her welcome address to all the guests and participants. Presidential Address was given by Prof. Dr T Mallikarjunappa, Head, Department of Commerce and International Business, Central University of Kerala. Prof. V Balachandran, Dean, School of Business Studies Head, Department of Management Studies, Central University of Kerala also addressed the participants. The keynote address was given by Shri Subilal K., Entrepreneur, Daily Skills, Marketing and Sales Automation Coach.
28-01-2022–11.00 a. m.–Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Mangaluru conducted “Tax Payers Service” meeting through virtual mode via WebEx. The agenda of the meeting with Tax Payer community was regarding the issues based on faceless assessments, faceless appeal, rectification and any other issues related to the New Income Tax portal. The meeting was attended by KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Hon. Treasurer CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Chairman of GST sub-committee of KCCI, CA Keshava N. Ballakuraya.
6.30 p. m.–Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangalore, organized District Council Meeting at The Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru, to discuss on their council’s activities during the last one year including the Covid initiatives taken in the wake of third wave. KCCI was represented by the President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and the Director and Chairman of Information Technology under Industrial Cell sub-committee of KCCI Shri Ashith B Hegde.
31-01-2022–10.30 a. m.–Centre for Management Studies & Research, P.A. College of Engineering under the patronage of Shri Abdulla Ibrahim, Vice-Chairman, PACE Group organized an Orientation Programme of MBA 2002-2004 batch at their Multipurpose Hall in their campus. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor was the Chief Guest who addressed the students. The Guests of Honour for the event were Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director and In-charge of Industry-Academia Interconnect, KCCI and Shri Mytreya A, Chief Operating Officer, KCCI. The event was presided by Dr. Ramis M.K, Principal, PACE. Also present were Dr. Surfraz J Hasim, Principal, P.A. First Grade college and Shri Sharfuddin, AGM (Campus), P.A. Educational Trust.
04-02-2022–5.00 p. m.–A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KCCI and Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal at the President’s Chamber at KCCI. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and Vice Principal and Dean, Research, Dr. Prof. Ganesh Aithal exchanged the MoU. Present on the occasion were KCCI Hon. 5.30 p. m.–KCCI invited all the colleges’ representatives having their MoUs with KCCI for the interactive session on Industry Academia engagement program – The way forward at the conference room of KCCI. The meeting was chaired by the KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor. KCCI Director and Chairman of Information Technology under Industrial Cell sub-committee of KCCI Shri Ashith B Hegde addressed the college representatives on the importance of Supply Chain Management. KCCI Vice-President Shri Ganesh Kamath, Director and In-charge of Industry Academia Interconnect Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director Shri Amit Ramachandra, Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A also interacted with the members present. Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed presented the details of internships provided by KCCI to students of a few colleges at various companies and later delivered the vote of thanks.
05-02-2022–12 Noon–A representation was submitted by KCCI to Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Shri Akshay Shridhar at MCC office to grant permission to KCCI to maintain the parking area for the public situated at the annex of the chamber and also to maintain the garden and toilet. KCCI President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Port Ward Corporator Shri Abdul Lateef also met the commissioner.
08-02-2022–11.00 a. m.–The North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Cannanore, KCCI, Mangaluru, Central University of Kerala, Department of Commerce and International Business, School of Business Studies in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) organized Skill Development Programme on the topic, ‘Discussion on Union Budget 2022’ which was held virtually. KCCI President Shashidhar Pai Maroor welcomed him on this occasion. Shri K. 05-01-2022–5.00 p. m.–Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, Dr. Rajendra KV, called emergency meeting at D.C office, Mangaluru. Expert Committee, various associations and media were briefed about the state government guidelines on night curfews during the week and weekend curfews for two weeks and to strictly abide by the government order. KCCI Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed and Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A attended the meeting.
10-01-2022–10.00 a. m.–The 14th Advisory Committee meeting of the Mangaluru Smart City Limited was held at the Court Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte at their college campus to discuss on the project assigned to the Engineering students on the subject ‘Research on different aspects of electricity – commercial and technical issues’. KCCI was represented by CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Director and Hon. Treasurer, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director and Focus Area In-charge of Industry-Academia Interconnect, Shri Mytreya A, Chief Operating Officer. The college team was led by its Director Shri K.
