Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), in association with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mangaluru Chapter, jointly organised a seminar on recent developments in Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) provisions and social security measures on 30th September, 2026 at the KCCI Meeting Hall, Mangaluru.

Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, President – KCCI, highlighted the revision of the EPF wage ceiling from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000, the first such revision in twelve years, and its expected impact on EPF, EPS and EDLI coverage. He also emphasised the need for organisations to review payroll and contribution calculations.

Shri Prabhoda KS, Chairman, NIPM Mangaluru Chapter, appreciated the recent EPF initiatives aimed at wider employee coverage and enhanced pension benefits. He also highlighted NIPM’s initiatives for HR and industry professionals and acknowledged KCCI’s support in organising the programme.

Shri Sandeep Biswas, Regional PF Commissioner–II, Mangaluru, highlighted the key provisions of the Labour Codes, particularly the Code on Social Security and changes relating to PF coverage. He also encouraged HR and industry professionals to participate in the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 outreach programme.

Shri Panduranga Kini, Accounts Officer, EPFO, and Shri Sandeep B.C., Enforcement Officer, EPFO, made presentations on key EPF developments, including the revised wage ceiling, ECR filing, Vishwas Scheme, Employee Enrolment Scheme and PM-VBRY Scheme. The session also included an interactive Q&A, providing participants an opportunity to clarify practical EPF compliance and social security matters.
