86th Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) of the Members of KCCI was held at the Meeting Hall of KCCI with the participation of members. Outgoing President, Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar addressed the members.
Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar was elected as the new President of KCCI at the conclusion of 86th Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) of the Members of KCCI.
Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar is an entrepreneur from Mangaluru whose work spans a three-generation family business, a technology venture of his own, and a long involvement in community leadership.
A graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, he began his career in banking software at Nucleus Software, Noida, and later worked with Infosys on Apple projects, before returning to Mangaluru to join his family business. He is the third-generation Executive Director of Swasti Cashew Industries Private Ltd. (est. 1952), a company with a pioneering history in cashew processing and Cashew Nut Shell Liquid, which today operates warehousing facilities. He is also involved in agriculture, cultivating rubber, arecanut and pepper.
With a long-standing interest in technology, he co-founded Kochikar Technologies LLP. He co-created MyPoojaBooking™, a temple management platform used by lakhs of devotees for online sevas, donations and room bookings, including self-service kiosks. The firm also develops Sahay Mitra, a scholarship platform that has helped thousands of students access financial support from trusts across the country.
He joined the KCCI board as a Director in 2018, serving two terms as Honorary Secretary. A Rotarian, he has served as Secretary of the Rotary Club of Mangalore and held responsibilities at Rotary District 3181, and is a member of the Managing Committee of the century-old Ammembal Subbarao Pai Memorial Fund, Mangaluru.
Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor was elected as the Vice-President, CA Abdur Rahman Musba as the Honorary Treasurer, and Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira & Shri Vincent Cutinha were elected as Honorary Secretaries. Shri B. A. Nazeer, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Shri Amith Ramachandra, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai, Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Shri Ashith B. Hegde, CA Nandagopal Shenoy, Shri Sujir Prasad Nayak, Shri Dasharath N. Shetty, Shri Ajay Prabhu Karkala, Sri Balakrishna J Kottari, Sri Ranjal Rajnish Nayak & Sri Vincent Joseph Neeliyara were elected as the Directors of the KCCI.
